Latest Technology Updates: Maruti and Toyota to Launch New 7-Seater SUVs in India Next Year!

Latest Technology Updates: A Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7-seater variant is also in the pipeline and will probably come out next year. A Toyota Hyryder 7-seater would follow too. It is through the Grand Vitara that MSIL has finally found a strong standing in the mid-size SUV segment, along with its cousin, the recently launched Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, which finds good acceptance for itself in the market. However, the Indian carmaker has been missing from the seven-seater SUV category. According to recent reports, the 7-seater Grand Vitara will hit the market in 2025, after which the Toyota Hyryder 7-seater will be launched. Maruti Suzuki is going to take on rivals like Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700 with an apt competitor in the 7-seater SUV segment”. Both will use the global C platform but stretched to a longer wheelbase to accommodate the third row of seats. While the existing 1.5-liter K15C petrol and 1.5-liter strong hybrid petrol engines will be plonked into the 7-seater variants, there will be a pairing of 5-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission for the naturally aspirated engine, and the powerful hybrid will continue to get the e-CVT transmission. It will be largely similar to the ongoing designs; however, the 7-seater Grand Vitara will sport some styling elements to make it more commanding on the road. The Grand Vitara, along with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, will come at a slight premium compared to the 5-seat variant, and we estimate that the base price for the 7-seat variant will begin at approximately Rs 13 lakh and go up to Rs 22 lakh.
