NEET PG Counselling 2024: Deadline for Round 1 Choice Filling Extended by One Day

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for Round 1 choice filling and locking in the NEET PG 2024 counselling process. The new deadline is now 9:00 AM on November 18, 2024, giving candidates an extra day to finalize their preferences for college allotments. Initially, the last date for this step was set to November 17, but the extension allows candidates more time to complete the process.

Candidates who have cleared the NEET PG 2024 exam can visit the official MCC website (mcc.nic.in) to fill out their college preferences and lock their choices. The choice filling process is critical as it determines the order in which candidates are considered for available seats in various medical and dental postgraduate courses.

Steps to Fill Your Choices for NEET PG 2024 Counselling:

  1. Visit the official MCC website: mcc.nic.in
  2. On the homepage, click on the NEET PG 2024 counselling link.
  3. You will be redirected to a new page dedicated to NEET PG 2024 counselling.
  4. Enter your registration number and other required details.
  5. Submit your choices of colleges and courses in the order of preference.
  6. Save and download the page for future reference and to confirm your entries.

Documents Required for NEET PG 2024 Counselling:

Candidates must have the following documents ready during the counselling process:

  • Allotment Letter issued by MCC
  • Admit Card issued by NBE (National Board of Examinations)
  • Result/Rank Letter issued by NBE
  • Mark Sheets of MBBS/BDS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Professional Examinations
  • MBBS/BDS Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate

Counselling Process Overview:

MCC conducts four rounds of counselling for NEET PG 2024:

  1. Round 1: Candidates fill in their preferences and get allotted seats.
  2. Round 2: Registration starts on December 4, 2024, and closes on December 9, 2024.
  3. Mop-Up Round: For candidates who do not secure a seat in the first two rounds.
  4. Stray Vacancy Round: For remaining seats after the mop-up round.

The counselling process is being conducted for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and 100% seats in deemed universities, central universities, Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), and PG DNB seats.

Candidates who secure a seat in Round 2 must report to their allotted colleges by December 12, 2024.
