Bulldozing all records in sight, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone-starrer Kalki 2898 AD is marching forward and has already emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of this year. Now, the epic science fiction film has crossed another milestone and entered the Rs 900 crore (GBOC) club, the film’s team announced on Monday, making it only the 10th Indian movie to surpass this mark.
If Kalki, also starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in key roles, manages to maintain the same momentum, the movie is likely to cross the lifetime collection of Advait Chandan’s Aamir Khan-starrer Secret Superstar (Rs 912.75 crore) and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal (Rs 915 crore) in a day or two, according to figures released by industry tracker Sacnilk.
