From the early hours of Saturday, news channels and social media platforms were abuzz with reports of the demolition of Nagarjuna Akkineni's N convention in Madhapur. Speculations arose that the construction may have encroached upon a lake, leading to the government's actions. Despite previous notices and a stay order obtained by Nagarjuna, the demolition proceeded, sparking controversy.
The Telangana government's newly established department, HYDRAA, took charge of demolishing illegal constructions that encroach upon lakes and ponds. N convention was brought down amidst claims that it was built within a buffer zone. Nagarjuna has since released a statement, vehemently denying any wrongdoing. He asserts that the land is legally owned and no encroachment has occurred. Furthermore, he highlights the existing stay order against any demolition, suggesting that the action was carried out unlawfully.
Expressing dismay over the demolition, Nagarjuna emphasized his commitment to abiding by the law. He laments the lack of prior notice and asserts that he would have complied if the court had ruled against him. Seeking to clarify any misconceptions, he intends to pursue legal recourse against the authorities' actions. Nagarjuna remains steadfast in defending his reputation and refuting allegations of illegal construction or encroachment.
