The proposed Bhogapuram greenfield airport, located just 40 kilometers from Vishakapatnam, holds immense promise for the development of North Andhra Pradesh. Spearheaded by Srikakulam MP Ram Mohan Naidu, who oversees the Civil Aviation Ministry in Modi's cabinet, the airport project is poised to accelerate business activities and bring substantial socio-economic growth to the region.

Ram Mohan Naidu recently visited the Bhogapuram airport site to oversee ongoing construction works and reaffirmed the central government's commitment to its timely completion. He announced that the airport's terminal construction will be finished by December, with plans for operational readiness by 2026. Emphasizing the support from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, Naidu highlighted their dedication to fulfilling election promises related to the airport's development.

The Bhogapuram airport is expected to significantly boost employment opportunities, potentially benefiting over 600,000 individuals and catalyzing economic prosperity not only in North Andhra Pradesh but also in neighboring states. Despite initial setbacks due to legal challenges over land compensation issues, Naidu expressed optimism about overcoming these hurdles to realize the airport's full potential as a hub for regional connectivity and economic vitality.
