- YCP Oppression, Rajampeta DSP Chaitanya, JC Family Tadipatri
During the YCP tenure, the JC family in Tadipatri experienced intense oppression, marked by Diwakar Reddy’s disappearance and Prabhakar Reddy’s astonishing 46 arrests. A central figure in this adversity was local DSP Chaitanya, who allegedly subjected the JC family to severe harassment. His actions, reportedly motivated by his alignment with the YCP, included frequent visits to Tadipatri and a controversial handling of post-poll violence cases.
DSP Chaitanya’s tenure was marked by allegations of abuse and misuse of power, including an incident on May 14 where he reportedly manhandled TDP leaders and a computer operator at JC’s residence. In response, the JC family filed 23 private cases against him, accusing him of acting on behalf of the YCP. This turmoil culminated in his transfer from Tadipatri, as Chandrababu Naidu assumed office as Chief Minister.
With DSP Chaitanya’s transfer to the DGP’s office, the JC family finally finds relief from the oppressive scrutiny and actions of the former DSP. The move is seen as a significant shift in the local political dynamics, offering the JC family a chance to recover from the severe impact of Chaitanya’s tenure.
