Renowned and acclaimed Telugu filmmaker K Viswanath has sadly breathed his last at his residence in Hyderabad a short while ago. 

Viswanath, 92, is one of the stalwart personalities of Telugu cinema as is regarded as one of the elite-league pioneers who changed the course of Telugu cinema with films like Swathi Muthyam, Sanakarabharanam, Aapadbhamdavudu, and numerous others. He won 7 state-presented Nandi Awards and 10 FilmFare awards. 

Viswanath’s passing comes as a rude shock to the Telugu film industry and this void is really hard to be filled as he is one of the last standing pioneers of south cinema. 

In his sprawling career, Viswanath directed 53 feature films and acted in several more. He is one of the most loved personalities in the south cinema space.
