AATMA Performing Arts

Our goal is to empower our students by helping them develop leadership skills, gain confidence, and ultimately become better performers both on and off the stage.

​The AATMA Performing Arts dance school was founded in 2009 by Amit Shah to provide a platform for the next generation of young artists to carry on their culture and bridge the gap between Indian and modern forms of movement. The school prides itself in providing a strong foundation in ballet, Indian classical dance, and modern street styles (Hip-Hop and Bollywood). We teach our students not only discipline in body movement, but the art of facial expression and stage presence while providing an understanding of lyrics and culture to enhance our students' depth of performance.

• AATMA Performing Arts offers dance classes for kids and adults ranging from Bollywood, Semi-Classical, Folk, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, and Bharatanatyam.
• Our students have won first place at the Naya Andaz dance competition for 2 consecutive years as well as perform at community events in the tri-state state area. AATMA's grand recitals are held annually and have attracted up to 1800 guests in attendance.
